From the Acting Principal
There are many very exhausted staff and students at Newlands. What a busy and exciting week we have ALL had.
Firstly I would like to congratulate all the students who attended camp last week. The weather wasn’t the best but the attitude of all who attended was very fine indeed. I saw many students go out of their comfort zone and try things that they had never tried before. (Yes, even food they’d never eaten)
Now it’s time to reflect on the wonderful time we all had and start planning for our next school camp.
Once again I would like to thank Bianca for all the work she did to ensure that our Art Show was such a wonderful exhibition of the work our students have done.
Monday 2nd of November is a Pupil Free Day. Staff will be at school on that day working on student assessments and reports.

Our orientation program begins on Thursday 5th of November. All students who will be joining us for their foundation year in 2016 have been invited to join us at 10: 00 a.m. on Thursday.

Cybersafety
This website is an excellent resource for any parents wanting to know how they can monitor their child’s use of the internet and technology at home.
At school we constantly reinforce the messages the students were taught in first term about the expectations the school has for them when using the internet or any other type of information technology.
